Born in the beautiful twin caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago , this talented performer began singing at a very young age. She has four brothers and is the only daughter  in her family. Boasting a 5 octave range, Cavelle-Nell Romeo has a powerful yet sultry voice that is unique and genuine.

Her mother who was also a singer , instilled in her daughter the important role that music plays in our lives.  In addition to music,  Cavelle  became familiar with the world of sewing and fashion designing. As a result, she was able to play the guitar and the piano by the age of 6 and she was  able to sew and design clothing by the age of seven. Cavelle explains: "I had a great childhood growing up in the Caribbean, I was always around music and  I remember performing at any opportunity that came my way. "

By the time Cavelle was 11 years old, she was already a talented singer and musician. Her mother mentored her and trained her into a great performer. However as time progressed Cavelle's world was turned upside down. At the age of 12 , she lost her mother to cancer. It was one of the most hardest things that she had ever faced. Cavelle explains :" I felt as though I was losing more than just a mother , I was losing my mother and my musical mentor."  Cavelle then  moved to Montreal Canada alongside two of her siblings to live with her mother's sister. Although it was a very difficult time for her, she never lost hope and always knew that her mother was looking down on her.

To keep her mother's legacy alive, Cavelle decided to continue the work her mother started in her. She was determined to reach for the stars and never gave up hope. She began entering local talent shows around Montreal often winning first place in all of the top categories.  Her love and passion for music led her to many opportunities. In 2003, Cavelle participated in the  reality based  televised series called "Popstars  The One" where she finished among the top 12 finalists in Canada  beating out close to 4000 auditioners.

From 2004 to 2007, Cavelle was cast in the successful musical theatre production  "Generation Motown" which pays tribute to the everlasting Motown Era. This is where she was able to explore other areas of performing since the show was a combination of singing, acting and dancing. Later on that year she was also cast in another Musical Theater Production " Night Fever" where she developed her singing skills in both French and English thus broadening her horizons and moulding her into a well rounded performer.

With word beginning to spread about this talented performer across the border, Cavelle began receiving requests to perform at numerous events within the United States.
